Future AP Psych Students

Dear Future AP Psych Students, Taking AP Psychology was one of the best decision in my high school career. I have learned so much from that class that I am able to use it in everyday life. It also doesn’t hurt that Ms. Halfen is an amazing teacher. In order to be successful in AP Psych you should probably do the following. AP Psych is a course that contains an abundant amount of information. First take notes in class it makes it so much easier for you when studying for the test and you will learn a lot of interesting things you never even knew existed. It is important to take time and plan out a schedule in order to obtain enough information to pass test and ultimately the AP exam. There is a lot of vocabulary terms so it is in your best interest to do not procrastinate and try to do it all in one day (this was extremely difficult for me because I’m a hardcore procrastinator). You should always do the vocabulary because it can help you maintain a good grade even if you fail the test ...

Memory

Memory Test from Psychology Today My results are that I scored a 41 out of 100 and that I have a great difficulty remembering. I'm fairly well at absorbing details but overall I am not good at memorization. My results also state that  I could use mnemonic devices and visual association to improve my memory. I feel that the results I have received are valid because I do often find myself forgetting the things I need to get done, forgetting passwords shortly after I made them and over scheduling. Picture STM Test For this test I named 10 out of 20 pictured items. Meaning the my memory is ok but it defiantly could be better. I agree with the validity of this test because I personally had to look at the picture, and then once they were removed I had to state the items I saw. Although this test could be not valid if I was going through issues such as for example: stress, I wasn't felling stressed out taking this test. So my results should be accura...
Child Discipline Throughout cultures, countries and even continents the thing most people commonly share is the having children. Offspring are the things (people) that no matter what happens in this world that we have passed something along to them whether it be in knowledge, wealth or even characteristics that can better them. From authoritative, neglectful, permissive and even authoritarian parenting the way you parent your children will always have a lasting effect on them but in all those things there is an important part in all of them: the disciplining of children. The discipline of children can range from things such as confiscating items or hobbies, isolating for a period of time to even what some may consider extreme things such as spanking. While some parents may agree with the term spare the rod spoil the child other may turn to communicating with their children. I believe that you should not have to physical harm your children to get your point across. Childhood is d...
Personality Test Jung Typology Test   The Jung Personality Test is based on Carl Jung's and Isabel Brigg Myers' personality type theory. This test gives you a four letter formula and helps you discover career and occupation paths based on that formula. The score I was given was INFP meaning that I am Introverted Intuitive Feeling Perceiving. I agree with this test because I feel that I am very introverted, I try my best to find good in people and I do struggle with ethical perfection. I feel that this test was for the most part accurate. Happiness Test This test consists of questions and scenarios the tells whether I am an optimist or a pessimist and if it has a large impact on my overall success and happiness. My results to this test are that I am a person who believes in the goodness of human kind and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt until proven wrong. I agree with the results of this test because they also matched a little with the Jung Typolog...
I was born on April 19, 20001. I was an average baby, I learned to crawl around 8 months, took my first steps when I was about one years old and was potty trained by 2 years. The first word I ever spoke was no. I started preschool August of 2004, and kindergarten in (at Hunters Glen Elementary) August of 2006. From kindergarten I went on to finish elementary, middle school (at Dulles Middle School), and I am now on my third year (junior year) of  high school (at Dulles High School). In those 16 years I have become more taller ( I am now 5'8), smarter (by learning more information) and have grown to become a young adult.  In the future, I plan on graduating in the spring of 2019, attending college at either the University of Houston, Texas State University, Baylor University or any good Texas college. In college I plan study hard and major either pre-medicine or biology then go into medical school. I want to be either a or...
